Salzsieder Nursery was started in 2006 after we bought our home where we now had room to spread out. Our intent is to offer new and established plant varieties that fill the needs of our customers whether they plant themselves or the need of full installation services. We are located on the Door/Kewaunee county line between the WI State Highways 42 to the east and 57 to the west.
We are a member of Wisconsin Nurserymen’s Association and are a licensed sales yard.
We are inspected by the State of Wisconsin to have healthy and disease free plants for purchase.
We strive to have large selection of varieties, plants that are different then what you find in other garden centers.
We travel to local farm markets and festivals in Door County to show what we have to offer.
Tom knew landscaping and plant sales were an interest from the age of 15, cutting lawns and doing small installations while in high school. Tom attended Gateway and Blackhawk Technical College in the Horticulture studies programs. Before starting out on his own Tom worked seasonal for a nursery in the Chicagoland area on a landscape crews, there he also worked in the container yard and did field work, pruning, planting, and oh yes everyone’s favorite weeding. After that he came back home to Kewaunee looking for full time work where he found work in Sturgeon Bay at a local nursery, there he assembled orders, did quality control, loaded trucks for delivery and delivered.
